CHILDREN AND FAMILY MINISTRY MAJOR
While the Children's Ministry Major at MBI has been around for many, many years, when Professor Elizabeth Smith started teaching at Moody in 2004, there were only 2 students in the major; today, the major has over 80 students which includes CFM, CFM Interdisciplinary, and Moody Online. In 2017, the major changed from Children's Ministry to Children and Family Ministry to stay relevant to the needs and trends of ministry. In 2018, Elizabeth created a Children and Family Ministry emphasis in the Moody Online B.S. in Ministry Leadership Program. The CFM major continues to grow as it seeks to customize each student's experience to equip them to serve in the ministry to which God is calling them.
